I gained an immense amount of knowledge from this course, what I thought I knew about food and nutrition was definitely challenged, and instead of just partaking in the next fad diet I have learned life lessons on what is or isn’t right for my body. The tips and tricks learned about pantry, cooking in general have been invaluable.
The difference 12 weeks makes was unimaginable! I didn’t know I could feel this amazing and rejuvenated as I literally bound out of bed each morning full of positive energy ready for the day ahead!

I have found it to be so helpful because its real - no unrealistic expectations. Although at times I felt overwhelmed and fell behind, you did such an amazing job of reassuring us that it isn’t just a 12 week course, its for life. So falling behind a week really doesn’t matter. I have learnt so many little tips to make life in the kitchen easier and I know that will keep improving with practice and time.My 6 year old did not knowingly eat any vegetables at all (he had plenty hidden away but if he knew there were veges in a dish, he would not eat it). Using your method he now eats tomato and potato. He says he still doesn’t like them but he doesn’t dislike them either. I’m thrilled with this progress and we’ll be starting on veggie no. 3 soon.
I have the best digestion I have had in a long time. didn’t realise how powerful diet can be to improve our quality of life. What a surprise to see the changes in my own body and in other course members!!I joined this course to learn how to listen to my body more effectively and to acquire the knowledge to help my family improve their well-being. I am feeling much more confident in the kitchen, I’ve realised that I don’t have to eat meat just because society tells me so - I have never enjoyed it and I can not eat it or minimally eat it and that’s ok!I absolutely loved every minute of your course. I looked forward to each Saturday when I could open the new module and dive in.
Thoroughly enjoyable! Highly manageable to implement what you have time for in each section. I’ve been able to keep up with each weeks content and implement what I can from each week and I now plan to go back through again to further our progress.I will also now use the meal plans provided to help with ongoing recipes - I didn’t focus on these the first time around but will now use them to assist with us moving forward.

Ashley Jubinville, ‘The Kitchen Coach’ has changed my life! Her unique programs are having an impact on individuals and families all over the Sunshine Coast and this is also spreading further afield.In September, 2016 I was an over-weight (in the obese category), frustrated woman, who was trying to do something about my weight but with no success. I thought I was making healthy choices for myself and my family by buying fresh fruit and vegetables from the market and trying to buy low-fat alternatives to many products. We didn’t buy much take-away and had already cut down the amount of soft drink we consumed. We were, however, addicted to sugar and I was basically keeping Cadburys in business (although I didn’t recognise it at the time). I would determine to stop eating chocolate and ice-cream for a few days and then would succumb when things got stressful or I was tired or ‘because I have been good’!It was then that I read a Facebook post about ‘The Kitchen Coach’ who ran cooking classes nearby. I decided to attend an information session about ‘How to Wholefood Your Kitchen’ and was really shocked by what she told us about many of the foods that I considered healthy – the ‘frankenfoods’, as she calls them. I went home and immediately threw out my cooking spray and a few other items and determined to start reading labels. Ashley also offered a ‘Kitchen catch-up’ where she came into my home and discussed what I wanted to change and simple steps I could make to start the process. She also offered me a place in her 8-week program. I decided to join the program and it was incredibly practical and ‘life-changing’. I learned about swapping processed foods for fresh, unprocessed food; how to read food labels; how to use spices and herbs to improve flavour; how to shop at markets; and that a wholefoods diet can be just as tasty (if not tastier) than my familiar ‘supermarket’ foods and are very easy to prepare. We learned about nutrition, portion sizes and how to listen to our body for what it needs. My kitchen changed over the course of the eight weeks. I stopped buying ice cream; chocolate; anything with ‘numbers’ on the contents list; and non-organic vegies. I now shop only at farmers’ markets and buy chemical-free/organic fruit and veg; organic meat; bulk wholefoods and there are barely any packets or tins in my cupboard. Most of our meals are vegetable based and my family now enjoy vege stir fries and lentil dishes without complaining. All of us have noticed improvements in our health, particularly me. I have lost 11 kg and have increased energy and mental clarity. I tell everyone who asks me about my weight loss about Ashley and her program and encourage them to get to one of her regular seminars to learn about things for themselves. I have also started ‘attending’ Ashley’s ‘Cook With Me’ live Facebook cooking sessions, where people are in their own kitchens but cooking dinner simultaneously with Ashley. She provides the recipe and the ingredients list and we all come together to work through the recipe, with Ashley on hand to answer questions and show us what she is doing. I wanted to say a HUGE Thank you for all that I have learnt so far during the 8 week Kitchen Coach program…. And we still have 2 weeks to go! From the night that I first attended your talk at The Source in Caloundra back in February – my life has changed for the better. What I have learnt about food, gluten, MSG, additivities and numbers as well as moving to a whole food gluten free diet has had such a massive impact on my health. I admit when you mentioned an 8 week trial of a gluten free diet – I didn’t think I could do it – but you showed me how, and gave me the skills and resources to make the change and I am so grateful! Not to mention how easily you break everything down so even a non-cook like me can understand. Just some of the benefits I have experienced so far: • Learning to cook yummy healthy Gluten Free and chemical free meals and giving me the passion to cook… skills which I wish I had when I had a young family 20 years ago! • 40 plus years of suffering from IBS is gone! • My chronic pain and inflammation has been dramatically reduced. • I have lost 15kgs but I have gained energy, health and vitality. • Sleeping better. • Anxiety levels have decreased, so have my feeling “down” moods. • A foggy cloud has lifted and I have so much more clarity. • And dealing with stressful situations is now so much easier when I’m not caked up with sludge in my gut, in pain and feeling miserable! From the first moment that I laid eyes on Ashley at a health seminar at the local university, I thought to myself “I want to have what she’s having!!” ha ha...except that I knew it was more than one thing that was contributing to her overall ‘glow’. She began her speech with some deep breathing and yoga and it was then that sealed the deal and I thought “Yes, I really like this girl!” I met Ashley again at her “Returning to a wholefoods pantry” workshop where she asked me kindly to step in front of the group and make some bread with her. I had never made my own bread before and doubted my ability! Now I make that bread and eat it all the time! Ashley also visited my house and talked with my family about my diet (wheat, dairy, and refined sugar free) and the importance of it for my overall health. She also highlighted concerns with today’s foods and how important it is for all of us to be conscious of the foods that we purchase to feed our family. I felt incredibly supported in my passion for creating a healthier home for my whole family and in particular my 5 year old son whose body appears to mirror mine in many ways. I pondered for a while whether or not to undertake her 8 weeks course, but after chatting in length over the phone with Ashley I knew it was for me, no hesitations. She said to me, “Cate, I can’t explain how much this will help you or even change your life, but I know it will”. At that time I knew it would help me but know after finishing her course I know it to be true. Before the course I was suffering with adrenal stress and fatigue. I was already not eating wheat, dairy and refined sugars, as I was really unable to eat anything without blowing up and feeling sick. I felt it was a disaster and I felt really alone in my situation. I visited a live blood specialist and then enrolled in Ashley’s 8 weeks course to really learn how to take my diet and lifestyle and create delicious foods that I could share with my family, in a way that was not too stressful or difficult. During the course with Ashley I learnt how to create many dishes that I frequently cooked, but making them with recipes that were gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free and still taste so great! In addition her recipes also include ingredients that are truly nourishing our bodies. So the best part is that I can keep on eating and enjoying the foods now without feeling horrible afterwards and I know that the foods will be boosting up my bodies health in so many ways! As Ashley describes her school as a kitchen school, the course is true to the name, it not only teaches how to create the recipes, but also how to use a knife properly, how to master many kitchen appliances, how to arrange foods/spices etc in your kitchen to be convenient all useful ways to perform in the kitchen. It also teaches how to save money on groceries by buying certain items in bulk, prepping foods for eating later, and where to go for the freshest fruits, veg and other items that include organic produce that can work out cheaper than purchasing groceries randomly. I met other wonderful ladies during the course too, and discovered a whole range of different diet related issues that we could really discuss and look for alternatives in cooking and foods that we used in order to address the issues that we were facing through educated choices in our food selecting. It was a lovely atmosphere to be surrounded by other lovely women who were all on the same better foods journey with Ashley as our gentle, informative and passionate kitchen coach. Also it was a lot of fun!! Now, for practising my recipes and making this new health life my “normal” !! I am working in a few of my new recipes into my weekly cooking and feel very empowered!! A girl who couldn’t bake her own bread, now eats it daily, and is feeling more and more creative in the kitchen each day. I won’t lie, baking especially wasn’t my expertise but I have made a chocolate vegetable cake that my 5 year old son enjoys and my skills are getting better each time I make something new, and I’ll keep working on that! Overall the course has changed my life on a daily basis. I know that with practise I will only continue to improve on my cooking abilities and thanks to Ashley’s style of teaching, I will also be confident enough to be creative with ingredients to make some Cate style varieties with herbs and spices in the future !! I know in the future I will be looking out for more wonderful short classes at Ashley’s kitchen school.. the one coming up about Self care in the kitchen has really got me interested, and there are so many!!’I would recommend this cooking course to any one of any age ie adult or high school student who is looking to make some real changes to their diet and lifestyle to become a more healthy version of themselves. I also believe that this can be done through educating our children from an early age during kindergarten years. I was first introduced to Ashley through a friend. She told me how I would just love her and how she was a Coeliac like myself and how her teaching of using wholefood could really help me.I had been in much need of a teacher to inspire me and teach me how I could make this possible. We would all meet at the kitchen school all willing to learn, taste, and make delicious healthy food. I made some nice friends on the way too. We all felt so blessed to have been touched by the wonderful lady, including my daughter at the age of nine who just loves her. She was lucky enough to take part also cooking alongside with Ashley, inspiring the next generation of how to eat and nourish our bodies and minds. We both agree she is a wonderful teacher. Our pantry looks a bit different today with jars of wholefood and no more packets. We love our new way of cooking and feel so much better for it. Having attended a few of Ashley’s workshops I knew how passionate she was about whole food and adopting a way of life that really got back to the basics… which I loved! It was evident to me that this girl had something special… and she wanted to share it with everyone! I cannot speak highly enough of the 8-week Kitchen Program! I’ve noticed huge behavioural and learning changes since removing gluten from my daughter’s diet about 3 months ago. She literally went from being one of the not so great readers in her class to one of the best readers in her class in 1 term! She definitely struggles at times feeling like she is different to how everyone else eats and kids at school don’t help with this. This morning though I put into practice something you mentioned last night and explained why gluten and msg isn’t good for our bodies and what it does to us and how eating good food without these things actually gives us energy to do greater things. After this 1 minute conversation, she said to me “Mum, I’m really glad then that I already don’t eat gluten. You will have to buy more of these ingredients because I want this for breakfast every single morning.”If I’m honest, I almost fell over. :-)
I thought that feeling exhausted most of the time and falling asleep at 7pm was normal for parents of young children. I was living off caffeine fumes and wondering if there was a magic pill. Ashley taught me very quickly that there is a magic formula called nutrition! I have switched coffee for green smoothies and overload every meal with vegetables and salad. The change is remarkable it is as though the fog has lifted. I feel energised every day, I can think clearly, am more productive and a better parent. My three year old had eczema and was a fussy eater. After Ashley’s pantry flip my daughters eczema disappeared and she now eats whatever I put in front of her including green smoothies. Ashley is a genius at teaching her clients how to think and feel intuitively about nutrition and encourages creativity in the kitchen. Ashley has taught me to ask myself will this fuel my body or not? The feeling that you get from good nutrition has an overflow effect into every aspect of your life. A friend from [my daughter’s] Kindy told me about Ashley and encouraged me to sign up for her program. I’m not sure if it was the thought of finally being organised once she came and flipped my pantry or that I would learn more about parts of food preparation and choices that i had spent so much time researching that made me sign up. I was extremely time poor with a husband who works away and a small child at home and one at kindy 2 days. The course was on one of the days when i had both at home jammed packed with activities. I re-organised everything so I could attend the course and I am so glad I did. From the moment we started every week we learnt something new. All of Ashley’s recipes that we made I still make every week, even 5 months later. A few of her dishes are staples for when i go to a function and have to take a plate. Her raw carrot and chocolate are firm favourites.It wasn’t all about recipes. Ashley covered topics I never even thought of..sprouting, making your own almond milk, making dips not from recipes but creating your own.I lost 4.5 kg during the course despite eating cake, bread, apple crumble and chocolate every week. And I feel so much better. The path we are on now as a family is solely as a result of following Ashley’s advice. I look forward to attending any event she has, just to see what delicious creation she is working on and hopefully get the recipe off her for it!
I first met Ashley at a gut talk a friend had invited me to. I was so impressed with her knowledge and genuine nature of wanting to help me that I signed up for the pantry flip and kitchen course. My husband and I were somewhat dubious as to how flipping the pantry could change our life, but I can honestly say it has changed our life! Ashley moved things around in our kitchen to make a better space for cooking and hubby and I now prepare most dinner meals together. Wow! Having the pantry transformed really took the stress out of using the kitchen because everything was there and if it wasn’t, there was something else that could be used as a substitute, which is always nice knowing you don’t have to do a run to the shop. Personally the real life changer for me is the kitchen course, where you are hands on learning about what real food actually is and how to cook with it. I have always hated cooking and avoided it at all costs but since doing the course with Ashley I have gained confidence to cook and experiment with new foods. This alone has taken a huge stress out and changed my opinion of cooking and preparing food, I now enjoy it and am proud of my new relationship with food. After just two workshop sessions with Ashley I feel so much more confident in preparing good wholesome food. I’m getting the hang of what I need to include in my diet to make my food more delicious and more nutrient dense. It tastes so good and I find that I am not needing to reach for the sugary and fatty snacks (the bad ones!) in the late afternoon that I used to - I’m far more satisfied because I’m feeding myself much healthier food. I’m also excited that I can now walk into a bulk food store and understand what many of the foods are in those bulk bins - infact I now have many of them stocked in my pantry and with Ashley’s guidance I am learning what to do with them :)Thanks Ashley - this is exactly what I have been looking for! OK it’s time for toilet talk. My digestive system just hasn’t been working how it should be - you know what I mean...not having those lovely regular bowel movements every day as nature intended - yep, I’ve been clogged up for quite a while! It has been so uncomfortable and my belly has been bloated (not surprising eh!). But along comes Ashley and provides me with some basic daily rituals - things to include in my diet (and some to exclude) and whammo on day 2 I start eliminating like you wouldn’t believe (sorry for the detail but I wanted you to understand just how good it was :))...and then same on day 3, day 4, day 5 and on it goes. I can’t tell you how much better I feel now and my belly is nowhere near as bloated.Oh, and get this...I’m super excited about this one....I just went away camping for a week. Now normally when I go camping (or away from home in general), the old bowels don’t start working until at LEAST day 3 and often day 4. Not this time though - they started on day 1 and continued every day I was away! This is nothing short of a miracle I have to tell you:) as this has never happened to me before. And all I did differently was follow Ashley’s daily rituals. Wow, wow, wow!
Having a weight problem my entire adult life, I’ve tried all the diet’s you can imagine. Jenny Craig for 5 years, Weight Watchers, Juice diets, Shake diets the list goes on. Ultimately, it has cost me a lot & I don’t mean financially, it’s my own health & wellbeing that have been sacrificed. I suffer with High Blood Pressure and recently due to too much stress in my life I now am on antidepressant tablets. I have struggled sleeping through the night for years and with my weight fluctuations it has felt like the roller coaster would never end.Until……I met the effervescent, passionate Ashley ☺ in 2015I met Ashley through a mutual friend who had invited Ashley over to help her reorganize her kitchen cupboards and pantry. I work for this mutual friend from her home & was privileged to not only meet Ashley but to witness the transformation of the kitchen cupboards and the pantry, it was just amazing! In the following weeks Ashley visited, once a week and spent an entire day cooking with my friend in her kitchen, educating her about new foods, what nutritional value they had on the body, how having the kitchen organized saved her time along with a more efficient way of ordering her pantry staples through her grocery line would save her money. Being a family of 5, the youngest being 2 they had some challenges getting the children to embrace a different healthier way of mums cooking. A year later it’s now become the norm for them all. Like a lot of people I hadn’t heard of some foods and some I had, but a lot of them I had no idea how to use or cook with. Without any hesitation I then approached Ashley hoping I too could be coached and have a kitchen/pantry flip. To my delight Ashley visited my home, spoke with me in length about my health and how she could help me. I felt cleansed and so excited. The pantry/kitchen flip was the best decision I could ever had made for ME. Ashley is such a wealth of knowledge & is the most generous passionate person. I am so eager and excited to learn and to be educated by her to make the commitment to myself to embrace what she teaches and for it to be a norm for me too. I am currently doing an 8 week detox cleanse course with Ashley in a group of 5 which has reignited my passion to learn more about the benefits of eating fresh organic produce, how to prepare them and cook with them. Ashley hosts a weekly cooking day with us all, taking turns in each person’s kitchen. It’s a really motivational way of learning and being hands on with Ashley. You become more focused and enthused listening to like-minded people with the same goal, to change our health & wellbeing, not by taking tablets as I have but by eliminating substances & food that don’t offer any health benefits. It’s a journey and at the age of 53, its one I am thrilled to be on.

Where do I start?! I have so many fabulous things to say about my experience so far in Ashley’s kitchen coaching workshops. This is exactly what I was after! I knew I wanted to eat more healthy and nutritious food but just wasn’t sure how to put it all together. After attending just the first session with Ashley I was able to prepare food that was so much tastier and more satisfying than what I had been eating (and my diet compared to most people would have been considered to be pretty healthy I think). My dull and boring food has all of a sudden become yummy and exciting - thank you Ashley!!

Ashley has been like a much-needed breath of fresh air in my kitchen. Firstly she has completely re-organised my kitchen and made it so much more functional. She has assisted me re-stock my pantry and I have become part of her bulk-buying program which has allowed us to access fresh organic food at less than retail prices. In doing this, I am also spending less time at the shops. That part of it alone is fantastic. My family is on a health journey - I want us to be the best version of ourselves and I really want my children to grow up having a diet full of fresh, whole foods and also to know the difference between every day food that makes them feel great and treat food. So one of my main motivations for engaging with Ashley was to encourage us along this journey. I have a three young children, two of whom are quite fussy and scared to try new foods. Ashley has equipped me with more tools to slowly introduce new foods and new ways of eating to my children. We have had great success in getting them to try new foods and experiment with their eating. A huge win in my book. She has also taught me how to add variety into our diet by adding in new, healthy ingredients and adding flavour to our food by being more adventurous with herbs and spices. Ashley has taught me how to transform our family favourites into healthier dishes. I feel like my experience with Ashley has made me a more confident and adventurous home cook. I just felt we would be helping ourselves more if we limited the amount of gluten and sugar intake. This is was huge for us as we are more or less creatures of habit when it comes to our diet, but after taking to Ashley and going through my pantry we decided to try small changes every week , some obvious ones and some a bit more sneaky. The kids did not even realise that they were eating and loving the dreaded broccoli and cauliflower with their precious pasta, I could not be happier. We also made a conscious decision to reduce the amount to cereals we ate for breakfast and opted for different things like omelettes and buckwheat pancakes. These small changes have made a world of difference and the kids are now more aware of what they eat, We have also started reading labels together to try and identify those preservatives that we don’t want in our meals. This process has been so inspiring that the kids are finally on board in trying out gluten free meals. Thanks Ash for the support in getting the ball rolling and I hope our little victory will encourage despairing moms out there not to give up. Liam was home today with a head cold so I made him a supercharged green smoothie for breakfast, roast vegetable and lentil soup with the Kitchen Coach vegetable broth (from the freezer) in the slow cooker, and a freshly baked loaf of herb and garlic gluten free bread (using my premixed dry ingredients) for lunch and dinner, topped with fresh parsley from our garden. Last night I cooked extra of the roast vegetables that we had for dinner for the soup. I am so excited and amazed that I can just whip up healthy and wholesome foods that are traditionally very time consuming. Thanks so much for your wonderful coaching!
From the first moment that I laid eyes on Ashley at a health seminar at the local university, I thought to myself “I want to have what she’s having!!” ha ha...except that I knew it was more than one thing that was contributing to her overall ‘glow’. She began her speech with some deep breathing and yoga and it was then that sealed the deal and I thought “Yes, I really like this girl!” I met Ashley again at her “Returning to a wholefoods pantry” workshop where she asked me kindly to step in front of the group and make some bread with her. I had never made my own bread before and doubted my ability! Now I make that bread and eat it all the time! Ashley also visited my house and talked with my family about my diet (wheat, dairy, and refined sugar free) and the importance of it for my overall health. She also highlighted concerns with today’s foods and how important it is for all of us to be conscious of the foods that we purchase to feed our family. I felt incredibly supported in my passion for creating a healthier home for my whole family and in particular my 5 year old son whose body appears to mirror mine in many ways. I pondered for a while whether or not to undertake her 8 weeks course, but after chatting in length over the phone with Ashley I knew it was for me, no hesitations. She said to me, “Cate, I can’t explain how much this will help you or even change your life, but I know it will”. At that time I knew it would help me but know after finishing her course I know it to be true. Before the course I was suffering with adrenal stress and fatigue. I was already not eating wheat, dairy and refined sugars, as I was really unable to eat anything without blowing up and feeling sick. I felt it was a disaster and I felt really alone in my situation. I visited a live blood specialist and then enrolled in Ashley’s 8 weeks course to really learn how to take my diet and lifestyle and create delicious foods that I could share with my family, in a way that was not too stressful or difficult. During the course with Ashley I learnt how to create many dishes that I frequently cooked, but making them with recipes that were gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free and still taste so great! In addition her recipes also include ingredients that are truly nourishing our bodies. So the best part is that I can keep on eating and enjoying the foods now without feeling horrible afterwards and I know that the foods will be boosting up my bodies health in so many ways! As Ashley describes her school as a kitchen school, the course is true to the name, it not only teaches how to create the recipes, but also how to use a knife properly, how to master many kitchen appliances, how to arrange foods/spices etc in your kitchen to be convenient all useful ways to perform in the kitchen. It also teaches how to save money on groceries by buying certain items in bulk, prepping foods for eating later, and where to go for the freshest fruits, veg and other items that include organic produce that can work out cheaper than purchasing groceries randomly. I met other wonderful ladies during the course too, and discovered a whole range of different diet related issues that we could really discuss and look for alternatives in cooking and foods that we used in order to address the issues that we were facing through educated choices in our food selecting. It was a lovely atmosphere to be surrounded by other lovely women who were all on the same better foods journey with Ashley as our gentle, informative and passionate kitchen coach. Also it was a lot of fun!! Now, for practising my recipes and making this new health life my “normal” !! I am working in a few of my new recipes into my weekly cooking and feel very empowered!! A girl who couldn’t bake her own bread, now eats it daily, and is feeling more and more creative in the kitchen each day. I won’t lie, baking especially wasn’t my expertise but I have made a chocolate vegetable cake that my 5 year old son enjoys and my skills are getting better each time I make something new, and I’ll keep working on that! Overall the course has changed my life on a daily basis. I know that with practise I will only continue to improve on my cooking abilities and thanks to Ashley’s style of teaching, I will also be confident enough to be creative with ingredients to make some Cate style varieties with herbs and spices in the future !!
